Gardaí say they are treating the incident as a tragic accident.

A young student has died following an injury involving a sliotar at a Kilkenny school today (9 November). The 13-year-old boy was brought to St Luke's Hospital in Friarsinch, and was pronounced dead later that day. Gardaí are treating the incident as a tragic accident.
