Tragic news.
A man in his 20s has died following a road collision in Kilkenny on Saturday morning.
Gardaí in Thomastown, Kilkenny are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle collision on Saturday, 5 October.
The incident occurred at approximately 1am, where it is understood that the car in question left the road and struck a wall at Knockwilliam, Ballyhale.
A female passenger in her 30s was also removed to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries.
The scene at the crash site is preserved for examination by Garda forensic collision investigators and the local Coroner has been notified.
The road is currently closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
