The primary focus for apprentices will be on the maintenance and repair of equipment in eir’s network in a structured two-year programme that will provide on-the-job learning, one-to-one coaching and formal classroom training. Successful applicants will also receive a Level 6 QQI award.
Applications are open until April 8 and interested parties can find out more on the Eir website and on Twitter, using the hashtags #lifeateir or #talentrisesateir.
ESB, meanwhile, have also revealed that their apprentice application process is now open.
The programme for an Apprentice Electrician/Network Technician offers on-the-job learning and classroom-based learning and successful applicants will gain experience working indoors and outdoors.
As well as learning electrical and practical skills, apprentices will obtain a QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate.
Candidates must be over 16 on June 1, 2017 and the closing date for applications is March 30. Training commences in September 2017.
