For the first time in the history of Irish aviation, over 35 of the world’s biggest and best known aircraft will fly over the River Liffey and you can check it all out for FREE!

There’s nothing better than a free day out, right? Well there’s a seriously cool event taking place in Dublin’s city centre this coming Sunday as 35 aircraft including everything from the ginormous Airbus A380 to an old school B-17 bomber (pictured below) will make a pass right down the middle of the Liffey at an altitude of just 800 feet.

Here’s a look at the flight path the planes will be taking…

This is the closest most of us will ever get to these aircraft and you can check out the full plane line up over on the FlightFest website.

Family events will take place from 12pm, but the fly-by will commence from 2pm onwards and make sure to use public transport, as the Quays will be pedestrianised between the Customs House and Dublin Port.
