“Looks like rain Ted” – Floods continue to wreak havoc all across country

Homenews

P*ss off bad weather.

Ireland has been bombarded with another weekend of dirty, nasty weather, as many cities and towns across the country were hit by terrible flooding. Monday morning isn't faring any better unfortunately and here is just a selection of some of the images from this morning's manky school run. The front page of the Limerick Leader certainly sums it up: Meanwhile, Corkonians are trying and anything and everything to literally keep the floodwater from their door:       Not everyone seems to be concerned with the wet weather, however, with Newstalk's Jonathan Healy spotting one brave soul out for a morning swim on Cork's Oliver Plunkett Street. There's always one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgahWo6QKoA For more updates on the Cork floods and other weather news across the country, you can follow the Twitter accounts of the AA Roadwatch, Irish Weather News and Cork Flood Alert.
