Commuters on both Luas lines this morning may have noticed delays.
On their official Twitter account, Luas has issued a statement over the problems facing the cross-city tramline on Wednesday morning. It reads: “Red and Green Line services are operating with minor delays due to traffic congestion in the City Center. Please accept our apologies for any and all inconvenience caused.”
The Luas Cross City project cost the government a total of €368 million, something that is very hard to ignore when it is brought to a standstill simply because there are lots of cars on the road.
There is no indication yet as to when the delays will be cleared up.
If this isn't proof that we're getting traffic management wrong in Dublin then I don't know what is. https://t.co/5CUhrMiXfu

I got up earlier coz I knew the manky but not unusual weather would mean a heap more cars on the road. Still on track to be late. How is the car still king in a city with this population?! https://t.co/h1rPDdbKim
