According to Limerick’s Live95FM, a CBS student in the city managed to get into his English Paper 1 exam just in the nick of time after a quick thinking taxi driver flagged down a Garda car and asked the lads for an escort to the school.
The Limerick student, who has been named as Ian Fitzhenry, found himself in a bit of bother after the 8.50am bus into the city failed to show up.
So at 9.15am and with only 15 minutes before the exam started, Ian hailed a taxi.
Live95FM reports: “The quick thinking cab driver then flagged a Garda car which had been travelling behind them.
"The Gardaí agreed to escort the cab right through to the city centre school. The lucky student arrived just 3 minutes before his leaving cert English - paper 1 started.”
Now that’s a great story. Fair play to the taxi driver and the Gardaí for their help.
