A man in his 30s has died after a road accident in Carlow

The crash happened at approximately 9am on Sunday morning.

Gardaí in Bagenalstown are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow on 29th April, 2018.

Gardaí have confirmed that a 33-year-old male was killed in Carlow this morning after his car collided with a wall. He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny and later transferred to St. James Hospital, Dublin where he passed away late on Sunday night.

Only one vehicle was involved in the accident and no other parties were injured.

The road has been examined by the Garda forensic collision investigators and has since reopened.
