The accident occurred on Saturday evening.

A man in his 40s has died following a two car collision in Kerry.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after the fatal road traffic collision which occurred after 6.30pm on the N22 near Dromadeesirt yesterday evening, Saturday January 10.

One of the drivers, a man in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His body was removed to the local mortuary where a post-mortem is set to take place.

Another driver, a man in his 30s, was brought to University Hospital Kerry with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
 
There were no other injuries reported as a result of the collision.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them, particularly those who may have camera footage and were travelling on the road between 6:20pm and 6:50pm.
