A man in his 40s has died in a Tipperary road crash.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Birdhill, Tipperary, in the early hours of this morning, Sunday November 9.
The sole occupant of the car, a man in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Coroner was notified and the deceased was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The road remained closed as of 11.45am pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators with traffic diversions in place.
The collision is separate to another fatal crash in Tipperary overnight which claimed the life of a woman in her 80s.
She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí and anyone with information is asked to contact Nenagh Garda Station on 067 50450, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
