Anyone with information on the collision is urged to come forward.
A man in his 70s has died following a road crash in Mayo over the weekend.
The incident occurred at around 9.45am on Saturday morning on the N5 at Belleek in Castlebar.
The man was the driver of a car that was involved in a collision with a truck.
He was taken by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital in a critical condition but he later passed away.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Gardaí at Castlebar are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users travelling in the area at the time who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make this footage available to Gardaí.
