The man was arrested on Thursday.
A man in his 20s has been charged with possession of a firearm in Kerry after a video emerged of him using what appeared to be a shotgun on social media.
Gardaí became aware of a video, which was shared on social media, showing a man firing a shot from the firearm.
The video was investigated by Gardaí from Killarney and the man was arrested on Thursday.
The firearm was also seized and will be sent away for further examination.
The man was detained in Killarney Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939 and will appear in court at a later date.
