A man in his 50s has died after he collapsed during the Belfast marathon.
The BBC have reported that the incident occurred “at the early stages of the event close to Victoria Park at about five miles into the race.”

Ambulances were quick to arrive at the scene and the man was escorted to the Royal Victoria Hospital where he sadly passed away.
A police spokesperson said that a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later to establish the cause of death.
