A man has been found dead in Cork city centre

Tragic news out of Cork this morning.

Gardaí in Cork are investigating the death of a man in his 40s whose body was found in the Cork city centre in the early hours of the morning, according to RTÉ.

The man was pronounced dead at the Mercy University Hospital at roughly 1 in the morning. He was taken from a toilet on the Grand Parade, were he was found unresponsive.

Gardaí have said the incident is not being treated as suspicious at the moment. A post-mortem is set to take place later on today.
