A man has died following a crash in County Mayo.
The single-vehicle collision occured after 10pm last night, March 31.
The man (50s) was travelling on the Knock Road in Ballyhaunis, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the sole occupant of the car.
The man's body was removed from the scene and taken to the mortuary at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar.
A post-mortem examination is set to take place in due course.
The road is currently remains closed for examination by Garda Forensic Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 9.30pm to 10.30pm to come forward.
