Man in his teens dies in Galway crash

The fatal incident occurred overnight.
A man in his late teens has died in a single-vehicle road crash in Galway overnight.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision on the N65 at Loughrea around 2.20am this morning, Sunday January 18.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene and his body has been removed to the mortuary at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe.
The Coroner was notified and a post-mortem examination is set to take place in due course.
The driver of the car and two other passengers were brought by ambulance to University Hospital Galway with injuries that are believe to be non-life-threatening.
As of an hour ago, the road remained closed for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them, and any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
