A man has been seriously injured following an explosion in Tallaght, West Dublin.
The man (50s), was brought to Tallaght Hospital following the explosion, which occurred this morning.
He is being treated for injuries that are believed to be serious but non-life threatening.
The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit and the Garda Technical Bureau were called to examine scene.
Gardaí wrote in a statement: "Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending the scene of an explosion that occurred at a residence in Tallaght, Dublin 24 this morning, Wednesday 26th March 2025."
They continued: "A man (50s) has been removed from the scene to Tallaght University Hospital where he is being treated for injuries that are believed to be serious but non-life threatening.
"The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit and the Garda Technical Bureau are currently examining the scene.
"No further information is available at this time."
