The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A man has been taken to hospital following a stabbing that occurred in the Naas Road area of west Dublin.
According to Gardaí, the man in question is believed to be in his 30s.
He received stab type wounds and was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
The incident is believed to have taken place outside a licensed premises at approximately 12:15am on Saturday morning.
Gardaí have said that investigations are continuing and that no arrests have been made.
