Maria Steen of the Iona Institute has withdrawn from her final debate on the referendum about the Eighth Amendment.

Tomorrow night’s debate on TV3 is set to be the final televised debate in front of a live studio audience – before the public take to the polls on Friday.

Hours after her fellow “no” campaigner Cora Sherlock pulled out of her scheduled televised debate on RTE, Steen has also withdrawn from her appearance on The Pat Kenny Show on TV3.

Steen was set to be joined by Minister Regina Doherty, Colm O’Gorman of Amnesty Ireland and Senator Rónán Mullen.

There was suggestions that Steen would replace Sherlock for Tuesday’s show, but this wasn’t the case.

Steen did appear on last week’s highly controversial edition of Claire Byrne Live. The Pat Kenny Show will air on TV3 at 10pm.
