Weather warning

The bad weather isn’t entirely gone yet.

Met Éireann has issued a weather advisory for the Republic of Ireland in the aftermath of Storm Atiyah.

The warning is valid from Tuesday, 10 December at 4am until 4pm on the same day.

The warnings states: “Tuesday will be a blustery day with strong winds and very gusty conditions associated with an active front moving eastwards across the country.

“Generally, winds will be below warning thresholds but damage to some structures and trees, already weakened from the effects of Storm Atiyah, is possible. Rain and showers will be heavy at times as well, especially in Atlantic coastal counties.”

As for the general forecast for the week, expect to see unsettled weather, with “colder than normal” temperatures also set to arrive.

The full forecast for the week can be found here.
