Bring the umbrella, folks.

Following on from the poor weather earlier this week, Met Éireann have once again issued weather warnings for parts of the country.

A Status Yellow Rainfall Warning has been issued for Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry.

Met Éireann have warned of thundery rain leading to possible accumulations of 30 to 50mm in these areas.

The warning was issued on Thursday morning and runs from 9pm on Thursday until 9pm on Friday.

Showers will merge to longer spells of heavy rain in southwest later on Thursday. This heavy rain will then move up across the country overnight, with the ongoing risk of thunder as well as localised flooding.

All of these thundery showers will retreat to the Atlantic coast on Friday and will persist there for much of the day with a risk of localised flooding.

Temperatures on Friday will once again range from 14 to 18 degrees.
