A cold one.

Two separate weather warnings have been issued affecting the entirety of Ireland on Thursday night and Friday morning.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow ice and low temperature warning for Ireland from 5pm on Thursday evening until 11am on Friday morning.

It will be cold tonight with minimum temperatures of zero to -4 degrees and ice will form on untreated surfaces.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has issued a Status Yellow ice warning for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.

The warning is valid from 2pm on Thursday until 12pm on Friday.

Icy stretches are expected across these counties on Thursday afternoon and through into Friday morning.

Overall it will be very cold on Thursday with widespread frost and ice.

Many areas will be dry and clear but there will be a few wintry showers in the north and a few hail or snow showers may affect some coastal counties on the east of the country.
