If you had any plans that involved venturing to the great outdoors this weekend, we regret to inform you that you will probably have to cancel... Met Éireann have issued a rainfall warning for a number of counties, with serious rainfall expected on Friday night. Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and all of Connacht are the counties that are expected to be worst affected by the rain. https://twitter.com/MetEireann/status/1022859710200983554 Earlier on Friday morning, we reported that Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal and Waterford were expecting between 25-40 mm of rain could fall from 9pm on Friday until 9am on Saturday. The most recent warning is valid from 16:00 on Friday until Saturday 28 July 2018 06:00. The full report for Munster says: "There will be further heavy showers tonight, some thundery in eastern areas. It will become drier and clearer later on. Lowest temperatures 9 to 12 degrees with westerly winds fresh at times."
