movies on TV

Get one of these into you.

It’s a Monday evening. Not much else to be doing really.

So why not watch one of these movies?

The selection isn’t the best its ever been tonight, but there could be something that tickles your fancy nonetheless.

Here’s what we’re dealing with:

See No Evil, Hear No Evil – 9pm – Comedy Central

A blind man and his deaf friend go on the run to clear themselves of a trumped-up murder charge. Funny, but of its time (1989)…

Godzilla – 9pm – Sky One

Bryan Cranston, an honourary Irishman, stars in this movie about everyone’s favourite terrifying monster.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – 9pm – Film4

The hobbit Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman), is persuaded into accompanying a wizard and a group of dwarves on a journey to reclaim the city of Erebor and all its riches from the dragon Smaug. It’s very good, and very long.

Manhunter – ITV4 – 10.10pm

A former FBI agent is coaxed out of retirement to track down a serial killer behind the slaughter of entire families. Bit creepy for a Monday night…

The Gauntlet – ITV4 – 11.20pm

Directed by and starring big Clint Eastwood, we see him try and ensure that a sex worker makes it to court so that she can testify, against all the odds.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
