Making the day a little easier…
Nathan Carter has become a common name in households around Ireland as the country music star continues to go from strength to strength after the success of some of his earlier hits.
Carter and his band played a gig in The Opera House in Cork on Sunday night, and remained in Cork on Monday as the south of the country bore the brunt of Ophelia.
Many areas in The Rebel County were without power as the storm hit, one of these was the Montenotte Hotel in Cork city, where Nathan and the band were holed up for the day.
Well, he wasn’t about to let the day pass slowly by without hopping on the piano and providing some entertainment for the guests gathered downstairs.

It seems he played more than one tune while he was at it…
We might not have any power @MontenotteH but we do have the amazing @iamNATHANCARTER to get us through #ophelia pic.twitter.com/fydmM0aOqM

It’s not the first time we’ve seen the country music star do an impromptu gig.
Carter and some of his band were on the tube in London last year, and came across a man busking in their carriage with an accordion, and inevitably this lead to an accordion duel (we’re not 100% sure if this is a real thing or not).
The pair played and wowed the crowd before receiving a standing ovation for their efforts…
