The National Lottery is set to make five people brand new millionaires from 10–20 August with a series of special EuroMillions “Ireland Only Raffle” events.
These raffle events mean that there will be one guaranteed winner of €1 million in each EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 10 August, Friday 13 August and Tuesday 17 August.
The events will then wrap up on Friday 20 August when not one, but two EuroMillions players in Ireland will win €1 million each.
“Usually, every EuroMillions draw in Ireland produces ten winners of the €5,000 raffle prize but during this special event, in addition to the normal raffle prize on each draw, five winners across all four draws will win the special €1 million prize,” a National Lottery spokesperson said.
The Ireland Only Raffle special draw returns after being introduced in November 2020, with winners in Dublin and Galway picking up the additional prizes of €1 million.
Every player in Ireland who buys a ticket for any EuroMillions draw between Tuesday 10 and Friday 20 August will be automatically entered into the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ for that corresponding draw.
A unique code on each ticket will be the player’s raffle number.
As with every EuroMillions draw the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ sees 10 winners, drawn at random, receive €5,000.
One of these ten winners will then have an additional €1 million added to their prize in the first three of the four draws over the two weeks.
On the fourth, and final, draw two winners of the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ will win an extra €1 million.
