It will be a weekend to remember for one lucky player

A new millionaire confirmed in Dublin as players urged to check their Lotto tickets.

One Dublin Lotto player has struck it lucky, becoming the first winner of the €1 million Lotto Plus 2 top prize since changes were introduced to the game earlier this month.

Last nights Lotto Plus 2 winning numbers (September 12) were: 05, 13, 19, 21, 23, 42 and the bonus was 18.

Lotto bosses revealed the €1 million prize was won by a player who bought their Quick Pick ticket on draw day, with the winning store set to be revealed by the National Lottery in the coming days.

The celebrations didn't stop there as players in both Dublin and Sligo also won €21,756 each after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main Lotto draw.

National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, said: "What an incredible night for Lotto players, and especially for one Dublin player who has become the very first Lotto Plus 2 millionaire since the game change earlier this month. With the top prize increasing from €250,000 to €1 million, this is a truly special milestone for Lotto Plus 2 and an unforgettable win for Saturday night's ticketholder.

"Celebrations are also in store for two players in Dublin and Sligo who each won €21,756 after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main Lotto draw. All winners should sign the back of their tickets, keep them safe and contact our Prize Claims team!"

Winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets, keep them safe and contact the Prize Claims team to arrange collection of their prize at Lottery HQ.
