NFL defensive juggernaut JJ Watt has offered his services to Brian O’Driscoll for Saturday’s game. Give him a shout Deccie.

Let’s face it, the Six Nations has been a bit of a bust for Ireland. After a very promising start, it has gone downhill quicker than Alberto Tomba (joke for all you skiing fans out there) and if we don’t beat France on Saturday we face a Wooden Spoon play off with Italy in the final round. Not exactly a vintage year.

But there is now one last chance to add some sparkle to our year. NFL defensive juggernaut JJ Watt fancies helping Ireland’s cause. The Houston Texan is a sacking and ball-tipping (no giggling) machine and at 6’5” and almost 300lbs he is a very hard man to either get past or stop.

The big fella is here on holidays and he has obviously been reading up on our rugby woes so he decided to get in touch with the main man, BOD not Deccie, to offer some assistance.

While Watt would be an ideal No 8, we’re not sure BOD will pass on the tweet to management, as he is sure to stick up for captain and Leinster buddy Jamie Heaslip.

Still, off the bench, Watt could be the ultimate impact player. We can dream at least and thanks for the offer @JJWatt.

And thanks to Bríain O’Donoghue for sending the tweet our way.
