Homenews

If you’re a regular user of the M6 between Dublin and Galway, take note.

The road will be closed for the best part of three days next week, with works taking place from 1am on Monday, May 30 until 11pm on Wednesday, 1 June, reopening in ample time for the Bank Holiday weekend. The road will be closed from Junction 13 Athlone West and Junction 14 Ballinasloe East and details about the diversion affected motorists will have to take can be seen in the map provided by the AA below. Motorists bound for Dublin joining the M6 at Athlone won't be affected by works on the road, but anyone who regularly uses the road between Athlone and Galway should be warned that delays are likely as a result.
