Orange yellow weather warning

Rain, rain and further rain.

Brace yourselves for yet further inclement weather action.

With a status yellow rainfall warning already in place, Met Éireann has issued a brand new status orange warning in addition to updating the aforementioned yellow one.

Issued on Wednesday morning, the status orange rainfall warning concerns Tipperary and Waterford and is valid from 3pm on Wednesday until 6pm on Thursday.

Heavy rain during this period is expected to cause spot flooding with accumulations in excess of 50mm possible in some areas.

Meanwhile, the original status yellow rainfall warning has been amended for Kilkenny, Wexford and Cork.

That advisory, which highlights spells of rain with the likely possibility of spot flooding, is also valid from Wednesday at 3pm until Thursday at 6pm.
