Parts of Ireland will be warmer than the Canaries today as the great weather continues

Paul Moore

Weather forecast

Happy days.

Ok. They have the year-long weather conditions, the nice beaches, cheap pints and the fact that Spain are in the World Cup but for one glorious day, parts of Ireland can boast that they’re going to be warmer than the Canaries.

Sickener for any of your mates that actually spent their money to go on holiday there at the minute!

Met Eireann are predicting that today will be dry and mostly sunny with light variable breezes. There’ll be a bit more cloud at times in northern parts of Ulster and Connacht. Highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees, coolest on Connacht and Ulster coasts, warmest in inland parts of Leinster and Munster.

Compare that to the conditions on the popular tourist destination.

Yeah, we know. One day doesn’t make a summer but still, any excuse to sit outside and take it easy is always welcome.

As stated previously, next week is set to have the hottest weather of the week with a temperature of 30 degrees expected in some places.

In fact, some bookies have even slashed odds that Ireland is about to experience the hottest day in its history.

Now, wouldn’t that be nice?

Long may this good weather continue.
