Somebody in the Ryanair design department will be getting a dressing down over this.
A little healthy rivalry between competing airlines in Ireland is no harm at all and Aer Lingus certainly got one over on old rivals Ryanair this evening.
While browsing the Ryanair website (not to book flights, we assume) an Aer Lingus representative spotted something familiar about a background image in an advertisement for the business plus option on Ryanair flights.
And they weren’t afraid to point it out either.
Epic #photobomb by EI-DVM on Ryanair’s website! Even they know we’re Best for Business pic.twitter.com/mYgDFbpg6P

Ryanair, to their credit, attempted to hit back with a bit of humour themselves, but we think we’re safe in saying that Aer Lingus have definitely won this round.
Even @AerLingus is talking about @Ryanair Business Plus. FYI, he's smiling cos he saved a fortune & avoided another late @AerLingus arrival!

UPDATE: Actually, on second thought, maybe Ryanair have won this little Twitter duel after all. How about this for a comeback?
We stopped being rivals in the 90s @AerLingus @ReallyDes. We'd have to treble our fares & lose 81m customers to be your rival #EuropesNo1

Zing!
Hat-tip to Marc Giles and Craig Reilly for sending this one our way
