Gil Gunderson, the bumbling, awkward, unsuccessful salesman from The Simpsons is one of everyone’s favourite characters. However, if you’re trying to win seats in an election, he might not be the Simpsons character you’d most like to be associated with.
Apparently, people are comparing the Green Party, who lost all of their Dáil seats in 2011, to the character. Rather than be embarrassed, the Greens have welcomed and embraced the comparison, sharing this post on their Facebook today.
