Pic: Just look at the bruise on Stephen O’Keeffe’s leg after he stopped an Anthony Nash penalty with it

The Waterford keeper was very brave yesterday, but he is paying the price for it now.

When Deise stopper Stephen O’Keefe ran from his goal to close down an Anthony Nash penalty at Semple Stadium yesterday, you knew something bad might happen.

In the end, it didn’t look too bad as Nash’s effort was blocked by O’Keefe after it travelled only about three yards. However, a picture of the damage the save did to O’Keefe’s leg has been sent to us and it doesn’t look good.

Taken last night, you can see that a very fine bruise is developing right on his thigh, with the outline of the sliotar clearly visible. Taken last night, we can only imagine what it looks like this morning. We just hope Stephen has a lot of ice on hand today.
