Judging by the pictures, this could have been a whole lot worse.
A cyclist escaped with what has been described as a “nasty leg injury” after a horrific-looking collision with a taxi in Dublin city centre on Saturday.
Dublin Fire Brigade last night posted pictures on Twitter of the aftermath of the incident, showing the bike crushed under the wheel of the taxi after the cyclist had been thrown from a Dublin bike after colliding with the taxi.

Dublin Fire Brigade said that the cyclist in question suffered a “nasty leg injury” and reminded cyclists to wear a helmet at all times; as is clear from the images, it could’ve been a lot worse.
Stay safe, folks.
