An inflatable minion caused a bit of a panic in Santry this afternoon.
This was how it looked yesterday…

…but today it got loose of its moorings and tumbled on to the Old Swords Road.

“I’m not sure how it got loose but I just saw it coming loose and flying across the road as we were driving,” Erin Van Londen, from Portmarnock, told The Journal.
“It’s been very windy in the area.”
The minion knocked the wing mirror off a car but, thankfully, nobody was hurt.
The inflatable caused traffic problems for a period of time before the Gardaí came along and brought it down to size.
