The Cypriot Minister for Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the hostage situation in Larnaca has come to an end.
The world breathes a sigh of relief as the hijacker who had been holding several people hostage on board an intra-Egypt flight that he had ordered be flown to Cyprus has been arrested.

The nationality of the hostages remains unclear, but there have been no casualties reported at the scene.
The situation is no longer ongoing.
