The DJ who died at a music festival in Cork over the weekend has been named locally as Mark O'Brien.
The 38-year-old, who is also known as 'Beanzy' was found unresponsive in his tent at Love is a Stranger mini music festival at Ballyvolane House in Castlelyons on Sunday morning.
Paramedics performed CPR on the man, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Coroner has been made aware of the death and an inquest will be held at a later date.
Mr O'Brien, who lived in Cork city centre, was well known for his musical passion for music.
Speaking to the Irish Examiner, radio presenter Stevie Grainger (Stevie G) said his death would be felt by the entire music industry in the area.
“He was a well-known and popular DJ in Cork. He was known around the scene and will be sadly missed by the community.”
Aidan Lynch, a fellow Cork musician, described Mr O’Brien as someone who would 'listen to and help anyone in need'.
“He was one of the kindest and friendly people you could meet .He is gone too soon.”
The festival released a social media statement cancelling the remining events due to take place on Sunday, saying they were 'absolutely devastated' by the news.
"Our thoughts are with the individual's family, friends, and loved ones at this extremely difficult time."
"We are assisting An Garda Síochána and the emergency services in every way possible, and will not comment further while their inquiries are ongoing."
The festival team further shared their thanks to the emergency responders, crew, volunteers, and attendees for their 'support and understanding'.
