A damning statistic.

A new poll conducted in the United States shows that half of Americans want President Donald Trump to be impeached.

The poll, conducted by ABC and the Washington Post shows that 50% of people favour impeachment, with 60% stating that they disapprove of his performance in office thus far.

This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by landline and cellular telephone between August 26-29 of 2018, in English and Spanish, among a random national sample of 1,003 adults.

The results of the poll come a week after his lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to using campaign money to pay off former porn star Stormy Daniels and his previous campaign manager Paul Mannafort was found guilty of fraud.

Oh, and he made a bollocks out of drawing the American flag.

To put these stats into perspective, only two American Presidents, Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton, have ever faced charges of impeachment, and even at that, neither were convicted by the US Senate.

The same report shows that Trump’s approval rate is as low as it has ever been.

Broken down, the poll shows that Trump has a 93% disapproval rating amongst black people in America, while only 23% of college-educated white women approved of the President.
