This is absolutely awful.
Homeowners around Cork city have been warned about people going door to door posing as members of the charity Samaritans and collecting money on their behalf.
In an statement posted on the official Cork Samaritans page, they alerted those who could be at risk by saying that under no circumstances do they do door-to-door fundraising, saying: “We want to stress that we DO NOT fundraise in this way, NOR have engaged/approved any person OR group to do so.”
