No punches pulled here.

Donald Trump and Robert De Niro don’t particularly like each other, in case you were unaware.

In the past, the legendary actor has described the US President as “a dog, a pig, a con, a bullshit artist and a punk”, even going as far as to say he’d like to punch him in the face.

So yeah, they’re not cool.

And De Niro has recently condemned Trump for his reaction to the Covid-19 crisis, claiming that he doesn’t care about the deaths that have occurred in America.

Speaking to the BBC, De Niro said: “What bothers me is that that nobody says anything. He’s just right there on television.

“You’ve got a lunatic saying things that people are trying to dance around. They’re trying to say tactfully what will happen, Fauci’s doing that. It’s appalling. He wants to be elected, he doesn’t even care how many people die.

“He doesn’t care for those people. The people he pretends to care about are the people he has the most disdain for. He couldn’t care less about them.

“They might like to tell themselves that and delude themselves, but he doesn’t care about them.”

You can watch his full interview with BBC here.

The reported death toll in America is approximately 80,000, though Anthony Fauci, the government’s top health expert, reckons it is in fact higher than that.
