Ryan Tubridy opens up about his plans for after the Late Late Show.

“I’m thinking of so many trips now. I’ve got my 50th around the corner so I’d like to do something nice,” he said, via the Irish Mirror.

“I’ve got a nice railway journey somewhere spectacular in my head. Not South Africa, not quite sure if it’s Canada, maybe even European would be fine.

“I don’t need to be going completely bonkers so we’ll see.”

Many are wondering what special guests will appear on Tubridy’s final Late Late Show. There is speculation that Paul McCartney could be among the guests.

Over the years, Tubs has mentioned how much he loves The Beatles quite a few times so fans are hoping that he’ll get the chance to interview former band member McCartney.

Speaking about what’s coming up in the final few shows Ryan said that RTÉ have some big names lined up and that he’s really looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

We’re still in the dark about who will replace Tubs as host of the Late Late Show but there’s been plenty of speculation.

Claire Byrne remains the favourite to take over the role but there are other big names being thrown around including Doireann Garrihy, Baz Ashmawy, Jennifer Zamparelli and Angela Scanlon.

RTÉ bosses haven’t addressed any of the rumours yet.
