All’s well that ends well.

Reports emerged on Sunday night that two pieces of equipment were stolen from a Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) fire engine as they assisted with a cardiac arrest at a pub on Fassaugh Avenue in Cabra.

Earlier on Monday, a DeWalt rescue saw was returned after it was offered to a tradesman. As of Monday evening, both pieces of equipment have now been returned.

In a post on Twitter, the DFB confirmed: “Less than 24 hours after being stolen we are delighted to report that both pieces of equipment have been returned to Phibsborough Station. The Holmatro was dropped in by members of a Cabra sports club. We want to thank everyone involved, especially the Cabra community whom rallied together to ensure their return.”

The DFB also shared photos of the equipment upon its return.
