
Seven teenagers arrested after stolen car chased by Gardaí through Dublin
Gardaí took part in a managed containment operation to stop the vehicle.
Gardaí have confirmed the arrest of seven teenagers after a dramatic car chase through Dublin in the early hours of Saturday morning, September 9.
After a car was spotted in Balbriggan, Gardaí flagged down the vehicle. However, the driver ignored instructions and drove off at speed, leading to a pursuit from officers.
Gardaí subsequently took part in a managed containment operation to bring the car to a halt and the teenagers were arrested.
The vehicle is now going through a technical examination by experts.

Seven teenagers arrested following Dublin car chase
In a statement a Garda spokesperson said:
"Gardaí in Ballymun arrested seven teenage juveniles in relation to the theft of a vehicle in the early hours of Saturday 9th September 2023.
"Gardaí observed the stolen car in Balbriggan and signalled for the car to stop. The car failed to stop for Gardaí and a managed containment operation was put in place.
"The vehicle was pursued and apprehended by Gardaí in the Dublin 1 area. The car is currently subject to a technical examination.
"Seven teenage juveniles were arrested and later released from Garda custody pending referrals to the Garda Youth Diversion Bureau.
"Investigations are ongoing."
