The eviction drew a lot of attention online.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has confirmed that a seventh person has been arrested in connection with an investigation into a high-profile criminal damage and assault incident in Falsk, Strokestown in County Roscommon.

A man in his 50s is currently being detained at Castlerea Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

In December, a group armed with baseball bats stormed the house at Falsk, near Strokestown, from which a family had been evicted days earlier, beating the security personnel inside. Eight people were injured in the attack, three of whom required treatment in hospital.

Four vehicles were also burned out and one dog was killed during the 16 December incident.

Separately, two KBC banks were also targeted, leading to Garda investigations of criminal damage at two locations in Dublin.

The eviction and its aftermath were the subject of much discussion in December of last year. The McGann family, the family who were forcibly removed from the house, issued a statement discouraging anyone from violence.
