Man in his 20s dies following shooting in Dublin

Investigations are ongoing.

A man has died following a shooting in the Deanstown avenue area of Finglas in Dublin on Sunday (3 April).

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene at 4.30am.

A man, aged in his 20s, was discovered with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination is set to be carried out by the State Pathologist.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination to be conducted by the Garda Technical Bureau.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.
