You know the way it is, you’re in Tesco and you’re too impatient to queue up at the till so you scurry over to the self service checkout.
It’s all going well until you do the unthinkable and put an unexpected item in the baggage area.
Your mistake is amplified by 1000 when that annoying posh lady tells everyone within ear shot that you’ve messed up by SHOUTING “unexpected item in the baggage area.”
Tesco have realised that’s very irritating and they’ll remove the women’s voice from the self service areas in the UK by October (and hopefully Ireland just after).
They’re also replacing the phrase “please take your items” with “thank you for shopping at Tesco.” Good riddance annoying posh voice lady.
