A rough weekend ahead.
Met Éireann has issued two separate Status Yellow warnings ahead of the weekend, with strong winds and heavy rain anticipated.
The first warning concerns three counties – Donegal, Galway and Mayo.
In this instance, strong south or southwest winds gusting up to 100 kilometres per hour are expected.
This warning is valid from 3pm on Friday (11 February) and will remain in place until midnight.
The second, decidedly wetter warning applies to three counties – Cork, Kerry and Galway.
Great times ahead for Galwegians, it seems.
Met Éireann notes that heavy rain will lead to the possibility of flooding.
This warning is valid from 6pm on Friday until 6am on Saturday morning.
Elsewhere on the weather front, brace yourself for a cold enough start to the weekend.
Though some icy stretches may lead to hazardous driving conditions, Friday should generally be a dry and bright affair, at least early on.
Rain is expected to move in by midday, spreading to the east of the country throughout the day. Strong winds are also forecast.
Highest daytime temperatures should range between 5 and 9 degrees.
Friday night, meanwhile, will be wet and windy as winds reach near gale force levels along western coastlines. The rain will be persistent, too. Lovely.
Temperatures, however, will slightly increase overnight; ranging from 6 to 9 degrees.

As for Saturday, Met Éireann forecasts a "breezy" day with outbreaks of rain, blustery showers and heavy bursts. But don't worry, "some sunny spells" will also show up to fend off the gloom.
Highest daytime temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees are anticipated.
Saturday night will continue the rainy theme, with showers mostly confined to western coasts at first before rain pushes in from the south, affecting much of Munster, Leinster and south Connacht.
Lowest temperatures of 4 to 6 degrees.
Sunday brings some uncertainty in the forecast, according to Met Éireann. Right now, it looks like outbreaks of rain will move up over the country, with some heavy bursts in places.
Highest daytime temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees are potentially on the cards.
Sunday night will see the rain gradually ease off – just in time for the weekend to conclude, unreal – with clear spells developing alongside some scattered showers.
There's even the odd chance of a sleet shower, why not.
Lowest temperatures of 2 to 4 degrees are possible.
