Met Eireann have issued a
status red snow and ice weather warning for some of the country, effectively telling those in Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow and Meath to stay indoors.
While the
Department Of Education have yet to make a decision on a blanket closure on schools within the red status weather warning zone, some third level education institutions have already announced their closure for the day:
