It’s had not one, but three big wins in recent years.
If you’re in and around Kildare, then it might be worth a trip to Louis Malone’s Newsagent in Kildare town to buy your Lotto ticket, if you believe in all that kind of thing.
Louis Malone’s this week sold a Match 5 ticket worth an €43,356 in Friday’s EuroMillions draw.
The winner was just two lucky stars away from claiming the top prize worth over €38 million.
It’s far from the first time the shop has been the seller of a big winner in a Lotto draw.
Louis Malone’s Newsagent was in the news when he sold a Lotto jackpot ticket worth over €5.7 million in 2012.
This started a lucky streak with the shop then selling a €250,000 Lotto Plus 2 prize in 2012 and a host of other top prize winning scratch cards, TellyBingo and Winning Streak tickets.
Speaking after his shop sold the winning €43,356 EuroMillions ticket, Louis Malone said, “We have a reputation for being a lucky shop. We have people come from all over to buy their tickets here because they think they might have a good chance of winning.
“The shop has been going absolutely mad today as people come in to check their tickets in the hope that they are the winners. It’s such a pity that they didn’t match the two lucky stars though because they might have been collecting €38 million,” he said.
